The Factory

Light beams down from an old tin roof,
It lands upon the factory floor.
Lost from thought in a wink of an eye,
The wink of a dirty money-taking lie.

The factory is still, like abandoned dreams,
Silence rules here alone.
The souls of people long ago gone
Float about the place with a workers song.

Motionless, monstrous machines lie still
They want to move but are bereft of life
The moon is full and encrusted with clouds
In the factory move no worker crowds.

The abandoned factory in desolate distress
Left now in a longing endless mess.
I wrote this for my english lesson.

I was told I had to write a poem about somewhere normally full of life which has been abandoned/closed. I hope the people who read it like it.
ENJOY!!
